My friend Ali stopped by the house yesterday (and I made her come in the back alley because the porch was drying) and brought me a present - these beautiful vintage plates from Finland. I love that I'm becoming one of those people you can see something in a thrift store and know instantly that I'll like it. It just have to have folk art designs on it, really. And this saves ME the trip the thrift store, because my wonderful friends go for me! hurrah!
It's supposed to be 100 degrees today (102 tomorrow) and I must say, I'm happy to be down in the cool damp basement printing for once! I've been on a kick of eating oatmeal every day, but I think it just ended...
I made myself a tasty salad yesterday with Sorrel, Kale, Peas, Avocado and Tofu and I must say, I'm eyeing this popsicle recipe from Matt Bites Blog (via Smitten Kitchen, who actually made them for this photo)...

where do you get your sorrel?
Waverly Famers market from the stand on the end near 33rd st that has all the greens in metal tins. No idea their name... but I buy Kale from them every week too!
