First Fridays!

Lesley & Megan of Double Dutch Boutique on Falls Rd.

It's seriously November already, whether my poor cold toes like it or not. Luckily, with a new month comes another First Fridays event in Hampden! Double Dutch Boutique (where I just dropped off a big box of cardigans, scarves & tees yesterday) is giving shoppers 10% off ANYTHING in their shop tonight, along with free Dark+Stormy drinks & snacks from Red Maple. Red Tree is offering drinks & bites from Golden West Cafe. Atomic Books has been concocting a drink called "The Hamden" and making a pile of sale items. Shops all over Hampden are open late, the entire Avenue smells like Bella Roma pizza and the GW LongBar is generally packed with friends old & new on a night like tonight. There's a new colony of baby stores on the corner of Falls Rd. + 36th St, and if you're like me and waiting for your very pregnant friend to explode with offspring any second (Go Bonnie, Go!) you might as well go buy her something gag-inducingly adorable from that super-hip-organic-everything new Soft & Cozy Baby (just try not to judge them based on their heinous, monstrosity of a sign). Or check out its next door neighbor (did nobody notice that until too late, or was it on purpose?) - Urban Baby Runway - for those wee ones whose motto is "fashion-before-comfort."
Anyway, In conclusion:

-Free Cocktails
-Free Snacks
-Discounts
-Early holiday shopping
-Hoards of giddy females

Falls Road & 36th Street in Hampden (Baltimore).
