If your eyes get bleary from all the spectacular films you watch this weekend at the MD Film Fest, you should mosey on down to the Creative Alliance to see my friends Shodekeh & The Shape Note Sisters perform together. Pure gold. Pure Baltimore.
Shape Note Singing is something I admire, and don't understand entirely. Ditto beatboxing. Three out of four of these people showed up at my house on my birthday and threw me a singalong. Four out of four live in our fair city. I'm intrigued, and would totally go, if I were going to be in town.
