Keep Going

Phil and I are having one of those weeks (collectively) where literally nothing seems to be going right. A studio I thought I had slipped out of my hands, A gallery show I was asked to be part of turned out to be something I wasn't comfortable doing, The fabric I ordered for the skirts I'm developing came in the wrong color...and also the wrong fabric...
Nothing catastrophic, but everything frustrating and nothing smooth. Which makes me realize I shouldn't be complaining, I should be celebrating that what I've come to expect is smooth sailing. It really is.
So to hell with this week, I'm just going to plow through it with goggles on, because I heard there's a football game at the end. (Which is exciting because I'm allowed to consume massive amounts of nachos, not because I know the rules of football).

Today I get to go pick up my new bicycle, which I'm really excited about. I also get to sit in my sweatpants and finish my designs for spring 2012. Then I get to go burn the screens for them later this week at another awesome independent business in Baltimore. I also get to drink as much coffee as I want, because no one is watching, and listen to 80's music while I work.
Then I get to spin in my office chair and gaze at my super talented and ever-so-loveable husband behind me and tweak his ears all day long - because he's still on winter break, and he's working on two music videos that are going to blow your socks off. Lucky, he's got big headphones on to block out my own questionable music choices.

Sorry to hear that you're having one of those weeks, Rachel. You're not alone: I'm amid week two of those kind of weeks.
