Artscape - Baltimore - This Weekend!
If you're in Baltimore, you likely already know that Artscape is happening this weekend. The country's largest FREE arts festival has been setting up tents on Mt. Royal and Charles Streets for the last week, the Sondheim Prize winner was announced Saturday (congrats to Matt Porterfield - whose film Phil did sound recording for, so I'm extra proud!), the shows are up, the buzz is buzzing, and we are frantically printing away in the studio trying to build up stock for the weekend rush!
Artscape has all sorts of new stuff in store for you - an 80's only stage, for instance, celebrating the festival's 30th birthday... and has impressed me in particular with the organization of more green touches: There are 10 recycling centers on the festival grounds this year - including 4 recycle bins and 2 composting bins at each location, along with a volunteer willing to explain the difference in trash to those needing assistance. There's also a huge push for folks to bike to the festival, and there's a place to lock your bike safely.
Red Prairie Press will be at booth #43 in the DIY section. We hope to see you there!
Don't forget your water bottle, hat and sunscreen!
