Human Towers

Casteller from Mike Randolph on Vimeo.

I should probably tell you all about how the VENDOR LIST is up for Holiday Heap 2010.... but instead, I can't stop watching this video of people competing to win the (distinguished?) honor of "largest human tower." It's interesting to see how their bodies shake while they hold each other up...and the architectural shapes they end up making.
My question is - would you rather have to climb over your friends and kick them in the face and potentially crash to the ground on top of them when you are too much of a burden, or would you rather try to hold a bunch of people up that are willing to do that to you? (is this a metaphor? it wasn't meant to be when the sentence started...)
and wow. who would tell kids that this is a good idea?

Spoiler: some people fall. All that do look totally surprised that they've fallen. "how could this possibly go wrong?"
