Talk about your DIY! I was reading about Olympic history on life magazine's website and found out that at the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley they had the Marines on hand to physically pack down snow, by foot, on ski runs. How's that for crazy teamwork?
I also found out Walt Disney designed & organized much of the opening ceremonies (which appear to have been held outdoors in the snowy cold).
And since I just heard we're to expect 5+ more inches (says a friend on the phone), maybe we could just join arms as a neighborhood and stamp down the snow this time instead of shoveling!
