Have you ever wanted to camp out in a tent in the middle of Baltimore?
Ok, me either - but I often wish I was closer to nature, and I get sad that there are probably lots of people in the city who have never been camping at all!
If you can't get to a campground, then Wyman Park Dell is close enough.
I would definitely do this if we're weren't going to a wedding the weekend this is happening!
*** The Friends of Wyman Park Dell invite you to camp out in the park the night of Saturday, October 3. Adults and kids are welcome.
Come by between 5 and 6 pm to register and pitch your tent. We'll provide hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs and sides for dinner, then spend the evening around camp fires. Some hiking and entertainment is also planned. We will break camp the next morning around 8 to 9 am.
Bring only what you need to sleep and have fun at the park (tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, snacks). Be prepared to pack out any trash with you when we break camp on Sunday morning. Please leave stoves and cooking supplies at home. No pets - sorry!
We will be camping in the lower Dell. Access to nearby restrooms will be provided.
One adult must attend for every three kids registered. Registration is required and a limited number of tickets are available. There is no rain date. In case of rain, tickets will be refunded.
