New Packaging, Old Friends

Our new scarf packaging for the holidays!
A surprise neighbor at Picnic! My high school friend Abby Berkson

First things first: How cute is the new gift packaging on our extra-long jersey cotton scarves? I decided that a nice gift should have a nice message, and isn't a scarf just an extra long hug, really? We debuted them at Picnic this weekend, and they went over well, so we'll stick to the plan!

We had just a fantastic time in Portland (Maine) last weekend. What a great trip. Thanks to all the family and friends from New England that came to visit us, and thanks to the crew at Pinecone + Chickadee who not only organized a really successful craft fair, with perfect weather and outstandingly nice shoppers... but they also picked up a huge pile of Red Prairie Press clothes for the shop, and managed to put our booth next to one of my favorite people from high school - my friend Abby, who has a line of adorable ceramics. I couldn't have asked for a better scenario, and it's so fun to be next to friends at an event. Cannot wait to do this one again next year!

Back to work this week, already getting geared up with holiday inventory, if you can believe it. Along with our many fall/winter craft fairs, I'm very excited to be partnering with Double Dutch in Baltimore with a temporary pop-up of Red Prairie Press goodies inside their beautiful shop in Hampden for the holidays! More on that very soon! In the meantime, let's enjoy the end to August, and the start to the school year, shall we?
