Beadazzled Bugs

Back from a nice weekend in Richmond, VA where Phil and I stayed at a really wonderful Bed & Breakfast, instead of our normal Comfort Inn lodgings and spend a couple nights wandering Carytown drinking cocktails and eating french fries & thai food. Our room came with two bathrobes, free local croissants & fresh organic fruit in the morning, and you'd better believe we took advantage of all of those things. Next fair, we'll be back to the stench of Comfort Inn's all-circle-shaped breakfast foods & burned coffee, but for now we'll relish in our trip and keep it in our minds to motive us for the rest of this busy crafty season!
Got home an hour ago and back to work with both of us. Phil's ridden his bike to Towson to support a colleague who is up for tenure (just in case Red Prairie Press supporting a candidate means anything to Towson University, GO RYAN!!!!!!!!). Meanwhile, I've checked & watered my garden (THREE NEW BLOSSOMS!), run credit cards from yesterday's craft fair, and replied to about 1/2 of the backed up emails. Now I'm off to the bank and back to the studio after that, but I wanted to share these photos with you before I do. These are real, unstaged shots of insects with beads of morning dew attached to their bodies. Taken by Amateur photographer Miroslaw Swietek. Pretty Amazing stuff, this "nature."
