Working Wonders
Okay okay, enough with the snarky posts. I was checking out the Go For Change blog (if you don't know about it - time to find out! A b-more blog about people doing things to better the world. Many of them local. How's THAT for positivity?) this morning, and found their recent post about Mt. Washington based eco-furniture shop Working Wonders. Not only do they have nifty green furniture and home goods, but they have a "green guide" to all their products, which helps you find the ones that have the specific standards most important to you (ie. recycled materials, improves air quality, renewable resources...) pretty cool, and if nothing else, fun to look at and pretend you can afford any of it. Shopping local reduces environmental impact just by ensuring things don't have to be trucked across the country! Not to mention, it keeps money in your local economy... but chances are if you're the sort of person that reads a blog about a one-woman-in-home-screen-printing press, you already know that, huh? Happy Tuesday, friend.
